For a better experience, you need to install CBA and ACE3 addons. Laser-Guided Mavericks can be used without it, pressing “R” key to lock the laser spot.
For safety purpose, you can turn on A/G mode only if your plane airborne
Select laser-guided maverick, pressing “MAVE ” (or “MAVL ”) button on SMS page;
Press the same button again, to enter LMAV page. You will see the moving cross, representing your mavericks seeker position.
If you want to use a laser designator of the Hornet you need to switch on LTD/R switch, placed on the right main console
[ optional ] you can choose laser code for maverick, pressing CODE, and entering code on the UFC;[ optional ] you can select transmitting laser code, pressing UFC on FLIR page, and enter code to LTDC on UFC;Check your LTD/R switched on.
Find your target, using FLIR, radar, or selecting waypoint as a target (you may take coordinates from JTAC and add a waypoint to the target position);
Press and hold the Weapon Release Button . Laser designator will be turned on automatically and Maverick will be launched after will see the laser spot.
[ optional ] you can choose laser code for maverick, pressing CODE, and entering code on the UFC;move forward to targets zone (you may request the target coordinates from JTAC and add a waypoint to the target position);
If you using the FLIR ATRK, check your LTD/R switched off.
when laser turned on, you need to press and hold the Weapon Release Button ;
maverick will be launched immediately when its seeker will see laser spot.
