¶ A/G Gun procedure
To use a gun for this procedure, first of all, you need to turn on A/G mode. After that, you can select gun on SMS page or pressing ‘F’. You will see CCIP mark and circular range indicator on HUD. When circular range indicator starts to move, you able to shoot.
¶ A/A Gun procedure
In this case, you will use a gun against other aircraft.
- turn on A/A mode and select your gun. F/A-18E/F Super Hornet allows you to configure your plane for A/A combat and select your weapon with pressing one button. To do that, press Weapon Select Switch - Select GUN binding key;
- [ alternative ] otherwise, you can turn on A/A mode and select your gun manually by pressing A/A mode button and pressing GUN on SMS page (or using F);
- Lock the target using “R” button (yes, i know it sick, but i didn’t find another way);
- you will see CCIP mark on HUD. Place it on your target. You able to shoot.
