¶ Procedures
We have three options, how to lock your target using Fox 2 missiles.
¶ Preparation
First of all, you need to enter A/A mode and select Fox 2 missile. You can do it, pressing Weapon Select Switch - Select AIM-9, or pressing A/A mode button and selecting AIM-9, pressing F button.
¶ Option A - using HUD
For using this option, place a target into the circle on the HUD. When circle will stick to the target and you’ll hear the high-frequency sound - you can shoot.
¶ Option B - using HMD
This option is equal to option A, but you need to place a target into the HMD circle. Don’t forget to turn on HMD. When circle will stick to the target and you’ll hear the high-frequency sound - you can shoot.
¶ Option C - using Radar
You need to lock a target using radar ACM or BVR mode . After that, Fox 2 seeker will follow for the locked target. When you will hear the high-frequency sound - you can shoot.
